Rockstar x Jordan Brand – Midnight Club: Los Angeles

In honor of the upcoming video game Midnight Club: Los Angeles, creators of the game, Rockstar Games has teamed up with Jordan Brand in what has been said to be a “digital partnership” that yields a limited edition sneaker. The base of the collaboration is the Jordan Classic 87′, it will be package in a custom-made etched acrylic collectors box along with a copy of the game. The sneakers are outfitted with red and black along with the official Midnight Club “Kanji” symbol on the tongue.

Quantity will be limited to 40 pairs and will be given away online at the Rockstar Games Social Club or through a promotion with Foot Action Star Club and lastly through a DUB campaign.

Nike All Court “Hispanic Heritage Month”

Kiki McGehee a Nike footwear designer, has created this Nike All Court, honoring the Hispanic Heritage Month.

The shoe will not be released, but t-shirts featuring the same design will be coming out in the LA area.

Speaker Buddies by designer Alex Underwood.

British designer Alex Underwood exhibited a series of speakers called ’speaker buddies’ as part of 100% futures. The speakers imitate a child like posture and are designed to work in pairs. made from expanded polystyrene they are lightweight and can be moved with little effort. underwood chose to incorporate polystyrene as it is often a material that is not highly regarded. source: Kanyeuniversity

New Nike Releases – Air Structure Triax 91 | Air Classic BW | Air Max 90

Winter is on its way and so are the latest releases from Nike. Their Fall/Winter Collection continues with the latest trio of classic running models, the Air Structure Triax 91, Air Classic BW, and Air Max 90 all of which feature either purple or turquoise. The first of the three is a new make-up of the Air Structure ‘91, despite seeing only a few original releases earlier in the year. However, although the three aren’t originals color-ways, do add a little color and style into Nike’s rotation after seeing several mediocre models. All three are now available at Nike retailers and Proper.

Dexterous Marketing

Right after the airing of the first episode of cult ’serial killer’ TV show Dexter a guerilla marketing campaign approached, mounting fake pop up news stands in heavily trafficked public spaces in cities across America including New York (positioned right by Central Park), Philadelphia (at 30th Street train station), Los Angeles (outside the Kodak Theater), Chicago (in the financial district) and San Francisco (Union square). The stands featured the show’s star Michael C Hall on mock covers of high profile magazines like Rolling Stone, The New Yorker and GQ. Snacks wrapped in suitably blood-red packaging also figured on the stands.

Converse Japan 100th Anniversary November Releases

Converse Japan looked through the extensive Converse archives to reproduce some of their many classics to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Converse. For the upcoming November releases we see the usual assortment of Chuck Taylors laced with small drops including Jack Purcells, Pro Leather Hi and One Stars. Seen within this release is the inclusion of suede uppers on both the Pro Leather Hi and Chuck Taylors. These will release November at Converse Japan retailers.
