Adidas celebrates 60th anniversary with blinged out Diamond Pack
Setting up as milestone year for the company, Adidas is celebrating its 60th anniversary for being in the fashion world. Having already started an enormous campaign featuring iconic personalities from the world of fashion, music and sport, the brand with the three stripes unveils the “Diamond Pack” that includes the classic Superstar model and a T-shirt. The classic sneakers are blinged out with six 0.2K diamonds on the lateral side of each foot of the shoe. In addition, Swarvoski crystals are added on the lacelock and the tongue adding even more elegance and a luxurious feel to the timeless sneakers. The bejeweled metal piece placed on the tongue can be detached so that it can be used as a necklace. Apart from that, the T-shirt that comes bundled with the pack comes with 409 Swarovski crystals encrusted to craft a beautiful Adidas logo on the front of the shirt. Priced at $800, the Superstar sneaks will be released on January 31st, 2009 across Taiwan.

While some people might have seen the recent What is G commercial featuring the voice over of popular artist Lil’ Wayne, the video was just among a larger feature recently launched by Gatorade. The Gatorade Tastemaker Program featured a number of memorable pieces together in one awesome package. First presented in a ZERO Halliburton aluminum case, the inside features a number of co-branded products. Among the mix is a Gatorade x LeRoy Jenkins x Estate LA hat, LeRoy Jenkins x Gatorade shirt, Gatorade x Bose noise-canceling headphones and an iPod Touch featuring a message from the living legend Michael Jordan describing “What is G”. To cap things off is a number of new Gatorade bottles A rumored 80 packages are in existence.

Rebuilding something is a tough job, it requires a final product such that makes you forget the original. This statement holds good for the wooden vespa created by a Portuguese craftsman named Carlos Alberto. The entire framework is hand built, and boy-o-boy, isn’t this truly a worthy remake!

Inspired by the early 1990’s movie White Men Can’t Jump comes this Nike Air Flight Lite. Despite being an alleged reference to the bold and brash colors of the 80’s and 90’s, none of the main characters in Billy Hoyle (Woody Harrelson) and Sidney Deane (Wesley Snipes) actually donned the Air Flight Lite in their time on the silver screen. The sneaker is available now at the House of Hoops in New York City and osneaker.

Once again Huf has worked with DVS. This time its a true collaborative project and they chose to work on the Rico, a very clean canvas sneaker. Clean sneakers have certainly taken over this past year and with this collaboration they chose perfect timing.
For Spring 2009 they present the DVS Rico in a number of tonal colorways. The uppers are all tonal, featuring a white sole, perfect for the warmer days lying ahead. Also the sneakers feature several Huf logo tags.
