Nike Mercurial Vapor SL Carbon Fiber Soccer Cleats
These $400 (retail) cleats are approved and worn by the one and only Cristiano Ronaldo (as well as Didier Drogba), and are made almost entirely from carbon fiber. As you can see, the entire upper portion is made from one piece of carbon fiber, and then the seven-layer outsole plate is made from a carbon composite interwoven with TPU and polyurethane. They call this Tepex. The studs at the bottom of the shoe are directly injected onto the chassis, giving maximum flexibility and speed.
The shoe is aimed towards increasing a players speed by utilizing the extremely lightweight and strong material in as many places as possible…hence the SL in the name, which stands for “Super Lite”. In fact, it only weighs in at 190 grams. The development process for Nike took 3 years, and spanned four different continents. When developing the cleat, Nike didn’t care about money, time, or manufacturing considerations. They had one goal…build the best soccer cleat.

In front of a packed house of media from around the world, Jordan Brand and Michael Jordan officially unveiled the Air Jordan 2009 today in New York City. According to Michael Jordan himself, the Air Jordan 2009 is a new beginning, a new legacy. He felt that naming the sneaker the Air Jordan XX4 would have diminished the value of the number 23 and the Air Jordan XX3.
The Air Jordan 2009 was designd by Jason Mayden and is inspired by Defense and the Martial Art of Fencing. The look and technology found in the Air Jordan 2009 are based on the quick moves, quick attacks, and quick defense found both in Fencing and in Basketball.

At Timberland you can design your own boots. You may choose between 5 different styles ( 2 men, 3 women, 2 kids ). We’ve picked the men’s varsity and kept it simple and clean grey with a few light blue accents. The next step is to decide whether to start from scratch, to start with the original or to start with an inspiration. From now on you’ve got the opportunity to choose your combination and colors, from the collar, to the outsole, to the color of the stitching. The only one thing we disliked at this customization service is that the number of letters for the initials are limited to three. But all in all it’s a great service to express your style.

Panasonic’s RP-HJE900 is the first pair of headphones on the market to use Zirconia, a material many times stronger than conventionally used aluminum or plastic. It also makes for less resonance than those materials and creates better, audiophile-grade sound reproduction. The headphones feature 12.5mm drivers and have a frequency response of 6Hz to 26Hz covering an incredibly wide range of sound. And because Zirconia is a material that could very well last a lifetime, the wires are removable and can be replaced if they ever fray. Available May. Price: $230
