DC x Kendo Double Label Retailer Project – The Spruce Kendo
DC and influential women’s sneaker retailer, Kendo, have paired to introduce the first women’s sneaker in DC’s Double Label™ Retailer Project– The Spruce Kendo.
A woman’s ever evolving sense of style was Kendo’s inspiration for the unique colorway. The shoe features different reptile skins that have been applied with a lenticular technique to create the impression of an ever changing look. They then paired the animal print with opulent gold, tan and copper colors, and added red for an edgy color pop with the Kendo logo featured on the heel as well as printed on the insole.
Releasing April 1, 2009, the Spruce Kendo will be online at www.kendo-la.com and www.store.dcshoes.com as well as DC retail locations in Los Angeles and Soho.

For the latest installment of Supreme’s continued collaboration with Nike, the New York-based brand set forth on a sneaker venture utilizing the lesser known Bruin model done up in an SB platform. Steering towards a more low-profile sneaker, Supreme hooked the kicks up with simple suede/leather metallic colorways featuring white midsoles and old school nylon tongues. A release is scheduled for April 16th, 2009 at Supreme NY and LA, we’re assuming. Retail is set at $98 USD a pop.

The latest collaboration between SE Bikes and DC comes in the form of a brand new bike. Previously the companies have met to work on heritage models, but this time they are following the SE mantra of “BMX Innovation” and fusing the classic PK Ripper with a track bike.

Californian artist Mark Bode has teamed up with Spanish aerosol paint company MTN to release a limited-edition line of spray paint cans. Featuring two different Bode designs on the walls of the can and coming in an autographed box, you can pick these up at Overkill.

Damien Hirst is the latest and arguably one of the most high-profile artists to join the Supreme ranks as a contributing artist. The pop artist and his artistic work has made him one of the most influential and powerful living artists. His attraction to realism and “provocative sensationalism” has yielded some of our generation’s most iconic pieces of work including preserved animals in formaldehyde which included a shark, sheep and cow. His work with Supreme features some of this trademark Spin paintings over three different decks. A short skate video featuring commentary from Damien Hirst can also be seen over at Supreme’s site. The decks will release Stateside on Thursday, April 2nd both online and in-store while the Japanese region will see their allocation release on Saturday, April 4th.

Mita Sneakers does not stop to work on interesting collaborative projects with New Balance. This time they got together with FRAT to produce the New Balance MT576S Bamboo Rake. The sneaker comes with a complete glow-in-the-dark leather upper, large embroidery on the tongue, as well as on the heel. The grey sole comes sprinkled, and all white parts on the sneaker come in patent leather.
The FRAT x Mita Sneakers New Balance MT576S Bamboo Rake will be released on 4th of April.

The New Balance 996 Pantone Pack draws inspiration from what is probably the world’s foremost authority in colour matching. This pack features two unique yet similar takes on the 996: one in white, another in tonal red/pink. The white pair features a virtual kaleidoscope of accent colours, while the red pair reminds us of the Pantone logo. Both feature a six-block rectangular colour swatch on the heel, and the same shades are applied in reverse to the tongue tag. You can cop these now at atmos, and stateside soon at select New Balance Lifestyle retailers.
