Mostly known for her looks than her tennis game Anna Kournikova will represent K-Swiss as spokesperson for the brand’s Spring/Summer 2009 promotional campaign. Anna will appear in two television spots and a series of print ads promoting the athletic footwear line’s latest collection featuring her in a sexy Spring/Summer collection outfit surrounded by hundreds of tennis balls while in another photo, she is dressed in a mini-dress and covers herself with a tennis court net.

Having dabbled in sneaker-design in the past with the likes of Reebok, Leaders1354 dropped their latest project over the weekend with the release of their Nike Huarache 2K8. Limited to 24 pairs for top customers and friends & family, the sneaker was inspired by the current popularity in sneakers from high-fashion brands as they wanted something simple, elegant yet also featuring a distinct break-neck factor to them. They settled on the use of a silver color to represent mercury, one of the six liquid elements on the periodic table of elements.

The Obsidian SG-One Mustang ($1.3 million) is a great mix of old and new. This re-made 1967 Mustang fastback boasts a custom Obsidian 392 cubic-inch engine, producing more than 847 hp, a 0-60 time of under 3 seconds, and a projected top speed of over 210mph, as well as twin superchargers, a NASCAR-style belly plate, and custom 18-inch front and 20-inch rear wheels. Inside, there’s a 3,000 watt Kicker stereo system with Dolby 5.1 surround sound, DVD navigation, MP3, iPod, XM Radio, 60GB hard drive, and Bluetooth, a touch screen LCD, integrated Wi-Fi, and more.

In line with the excellent shirts that have been released by Quolomo, we’ve got some more excellent photography / shirt collaborations coming out of Japan. The latest news we’ve gotten has been from Chihiro “Chihi” Ishino, of Seven Under fame, and KIKS TYO. Each shirt features a photo of models Aya Kiguchi, Yuzuki Aikawa and Marie Sukegawa (respectively) with a pair of sneakers – a great combination, if you ask us. Each shirt is limited to a run of 20, and will be available at her photo exhibition opening on March 7, 2009.
