KRINK x LEVI’S 2009 FALL/WINTER COLLECTION

KR’s signature drips have added aesthetic appeal to walls, mailboxes, cars, doors and now denim. Levi’s Japan and the graffitiartist KRINK have come together to put out a capsule collection for Fall/Winter 2009 consisting of five pieces: the KRINK x Levi’s KRINK 505, the KRINK x Levi’s KRINK JKT, the “Drip” KRINK Sweat Parka, the KRINK Raglan Tee “K-60″ and the KRINK Tee “K-60″. The collaboration will be available November 14, 2009. A KRINK exhibit will be running from the release date till December 13 at CINCH Tokyo. View more pics from the collection after the jump.

A special limited items have just dropped from Ice Cream’s online store in the ZOZO shopping network. In line with this Fall/Winter 2009 season’s theme Show Girl, they have released the t-shirt and trucker caps in small quantity runs. Both items share the same graphics that play on the Ice Cream name with visuals of show girls dancing and posing as letter ‘I’ and ‘M’, a simple concept that gets the message across. There is only one colorway produced in the t-shirt in white with the graphic on the front while the trucker caps come in three colors of black, red and navy with white front panel printed with the graphic. They are both selling out very fast so fans should be quick on this one. Follow the jump for more pics.

Film, political and comic hero toys photographed in a way where the line between reality and fiction disappears. Due to the fact of the expression on the toys faces and the comical effect of the toys staged combination. As the point of departure for their photo series TOYGIANTS , the artists Daniel and Geo Fuchs use the, to a certain extent, highly political world of toy figures, which are sold and traded internationally. The artists created portraits of toys in large-sized prints: American comic heroes of the 1960s; muscle-bound fantasy figures; Japanese Manga superstars; actors and directors such as Bruce Willis, Sylvester Stallone and Quentin Tarantino; even world-leaders such as George W. Bush and his opponent Saddam Hussein; or artists such as Andy Warhol who are presented as “toys”. For more info’s and pics follow the jump.

Photographer/Director Estevan Oriol and Mister Cartoon go way back. Not just partners on The Joker Brand clothing, the duo worked through SA Studios and successfully pushed their art into the market place, working with clients such as Nike, Toyota, Harley Davidson and Rockstar Games. This time around, Oriol and Mister Cartoon are back to create the album art for Snoop Dogg’s upcoming album, Malice In Wonderland, due to drop on Dec 8. It is interesting to see the completed work, but it is even more intriguing to see how the artists work and collaborate. Check out the behind the scenes video for making the album packaging and get psyched– not just about Snoop’s upcoming tracks, but also to appreciate the artwork that went into it.
