Walk past Marc Jacobs‘ flagship in SoHo or his numerous specialty stores along Bleecker Street and you would think someone has a grudge against the influential fashion designer. On each of the storefront window is a mysterious tag in drippy paint. Of course the tagging is all intentional as it marks an upcoming collaboration project between Marc Jacobs and graffiti crew 1134NYC members MINT&SERF (aka MIRF). More pics after the jump.

With a modest beginning of just 9 graphic tees on a one-sided line sheet in 1999, retailer Upper Playground altered the notion of “wearable art” with its long standing t-shirt collection. Next month, Upper Playground will mark the program’s 10th year with an archive – a 612-page hardcover book of documentation by Gingko Press, highlighting nearly every single graphics and artist ever feature on Upper Playground’s t-shirt. Danish/Icelandic artist, Olafur Eliasson had an interesting history. Prior to his artistic ventures and constantly contemplating some very post-modern questions of perception and relation, Eliasson was the Scandinavian break-dancing champion. His experiences in breakdancing however, was an important influence in his art conceptions as break-dancing constantly called for one dancer to negotiate and react to another in battles, mirroring his approach to art. We’ve been previewing the silver colorway in the Nike Air 1/2 Cent for months now, and it has kept fanatics frozen in anticipation. The shoe sports a predominantly silver colorway along with a black design at the top of the upper. Other features include a hard, plastic Nike swoosh which yields a unique design, as well as an air sole unit at the heel, and a translucent outsole.
