Mos Def – Ecstatic Moments Exhibition and T-Shirt

While Mos Def recorded his 2009 album, The Ecstatic, photographer, filmmaker, and visionist Cognito followed Mos while capturing various candid photographs of the artist that will now be on display for a week in Los Angeles as a part of the Ecstatic Moments Exhibition. The exhibition will include images from Mos Def’s visit to the Cape of Great Hope, South Africa and performing in Sao Paulo, Brazil as well as “end-of-the-night posse shots” featuring Jay Electonica, Talib Kweli, Erykah Badu, and Shuggie Otis. In addition to the exhibition, a limited edition tee was created in collaboration with Los Angeles boutique, UNION. The t-shirt is available now at UNION as well at their online store. Kobe Bryant Interview at the House of Hoops in Harlem

First of all, we send out a big thanks to the guys from kicks on fire for this amazing interview and nice pics. Fresh off of his victory at the Garden (115-105), Kobe Bryant made a very special appearance at the House of Hoops, showcasing his latest shoe – the Nike Zoom Kobe 5. He arrived at approximately 11:00pm through the back exit of the store surrounded several security guards. The crowd went crazy as soon as Kobe walked in. Strangely enough, the person interviewing him was no other than Nick Cannon. Kobe was asked several questions about the Nike Zoom Kobe 5 and its inspiration and technical specifications. Check out the video below. About the shoe: The Nike Zoom Kobe 5 weighs about 10.6 ounces and is currently Nike’s lightest basketball shoe ever. The Nike Zoom Kobe 5  is a true low cut design for Kobe’s snake-on-the-hardwood speed and razor sharp ability. It’s basically lightweight, sharpened. Today I got the sample off the original Jeremy Scott Adidas signature shoes, the J-wing,  in my hands. The shoes look and feel nicer than any pics I saw before. Wings on both sides let you more fly than run. This not the first collabo from adidas and scott but I’m sure it is the fittest. Release date in europe is in the July 2010.

Nooka x Gommi Arcade Watch

Nooka has come together with New York based Japanese anime-inspired lifestyle brand, GOMMI ARCADE, to create the limited edition ‘Future-Shock’ zub timepiece. The limited edition piece is a twist on the time manipulation device worn by Gommi in the ‘Future-Shock’ comic/manga, written by Zak Hok. It features the popular Nooka zub zot face in blue, with the original ‘Gommi Marvel’ iconic artwork printed on a white polyurethane band.
