DC Comics x Converse Chuck Taylor Hi

This coming spring, DC Comics will be teaming up with Converse to produce their very own superhero Converse Chuck Taylors collection. These five pairs celebrate the 75th anniversary of the company and each one illustrates images of vintage superheros on the uppers. In addition to the two pairs paying tribute to Superman and two pairs paying tribute to Batman, it is surprising to see the fifth pair paying tribute to Wonder Woman. With other superheroes such as Green Lantern and Flash in the DC lineup, will we be seeing more pairs revealed in the future? Check out details of the collaboration after the jump.

CARHARTT X VANS AUTHENTIC

Modern streetwear has its roots in the great pieces of American workwear, so combining perhaps “the” iconic skateboarding company with a brand known worldwide for its durable goods, and you’ve got all the makings of a superior release.  The Carhartt x Vans Authentic is a followup of the 2008 collabo between these two that goes the less obvious route.  While the ’08s were done in Carhartt’s indestructable canvas denim, these go for a mix of suede and ripstop nylon that’ll take a beating whether you skate in them or not.  Pairs in black, olive green and khaki all have construction orange outsoles and will hit retailers in early November. Nike Dunk High “Iron Bot” Customs

This is the latest creation of Australian sneaker customizer Sekure D, the Nike Dunk High “Iron Bot”. Inspired by the man in the iron suit, but with a robotic twist, the sneakers use an Iron Man inspired colorway in Red/Gold and feature the robot arm pattern that Sekure D’s become notorious for using over the years. In addition to the mid-panel being covered with his signature pattern, the robot arms also become noticeable beneath battle wounds, parts of the Red paneling which are made to appear as if part of Iron Bot’s protective outer shell has been torn away. Paying close attention to the shading around the edges of the battle wounds, the effect gives off a trippy 3D look into the inner robotic workings. Follow the jump for more pics of it.

New Balance X 24 Kilates

The result of an international collaboration between Spanish retailer, 24 Kilates and the Boston-based, New Balance, is the 577s. Made from premium suede and leather, with red or blue accents on each shoe, these shoes involve another nation, as they are produced in England. The 577 will be available in select international retailers.

Adidas ObyO Gazelle Vintage Mid David Beckham

We all know that the Beckhams are trendsetters, and maybe you also know that David Beckham is sponsored by Adidas. But what may be new to you is his selective ObyO line which, designed with the help of James Bond (owner of Undefeated), reflects the lifestyle of Beckham himself. Here we show you the Gazelle Vintage Mid, a mid-cut sneaker taking the silhouette of a moc-toe boot. The primarily maroon shoe is wrapped with a “sandstorm” trim which accentuates the shoe atop a clean white sole. You can see more pics after the jump.

Converse Star Player Mid Kenny Anderson

Here´s a special release from Converse Skateboarding Lineup for pro skater Kenny Anderson. This Star Player was designed specifically for the aforementioned skater and possesses his name on the inner side of the tongue. As for the sneaker’s design cues, navy blue suede is offset by white contrast stitching throughout the upper. Other features include a white Converse chevron logo on the side panels, white laces and a white, vulcanized rubber sole with black piping.

Jay-Z x Nike Air Force 1 “All Black Everything”

It´s not a secret that sneaker brands like to team up with celebrities wearing their shoes to create a special modell for them. Now it´s time for Nike and rapper Jay-Z to bring their names to one of the biggest collaborations of the year. The Nike Air Force 1 and Jay-Z are amongst the top of their respective fields and have created a following that are arguably second to none.
In this Jay-Z x Nike Air Force 1 “All Black Everything” collaboration, Nike has created five designs that will be produced. Only two pairs of each design will be created and auctioned off on eBay. All proceeds will go completely to benefit the Shawn Carter Scholarship Foundation. It features a special “HOV” branding on the tongue tag and an assortment of premium prints and materials which can be seen on the lace eyelets and side panels. Solebox Omni Zone Pump

Interesting news came from Solebox in Berlin: 2 years of hard work are over and here´s a sample of the new Omni Zone Pump they´re doing for Reebok. Again they worked with active light on a shoe, so you can turn the lights on and off. A few minor adjustments need to be done but then there will be a limited release in 2011. Bearbrick x Converse Weapon Pack

MediCom Toy Inc. is lending a hand with this Converse Pack that features three variations of the classic Converse Weapon; the Vintage Weapon ‘86 Basic Hi, Weapon SF Hi, and Weapon Mid are featured in this special collection that includes the popular Bearbrick figurines. Each pair will come accompanied by a Bearbrick toy with a matching colorway. The Vintage comes in Magic Johnson’s Lakers colorway with a pre-yellowed midsole, while the SF features a contemporary 3D star upper. Vans x 74: “V8 Motor” Slip-On

Vans collaborated with 74 on this all white slip-on. Simple in design, with a white canvas upper and matching white outsole. The shoe is complete with an illustrated V8 motor graphics on its forefront.
