Once a prospective employee passed the notoriously difficult interview at Google (which included brain twisters such as “How much would you charge to wash all the windows in Seattle?”) it is safely assumed that one would be welcomed passed the guarded Google gates and into the paradise of Google-dom. As for what is behind the gates of “Open sesame Google”, SwipeLife took a much envied tour at the Google office and see where creativity is incubated and born. What would the space where a viable creative idea is implemented immediately look like? Perhaps an aquarium, a blue robot brain like cocoon? An mirrored space with yoga balls, slides and poles? Take a look at Google’s office and finally understand why it is one of the top companies to work for despite the gloomy outlook for private corporations. For Reebok’s global celebration of its iconic Pump’s 20th birthday, the retailers in Asia invited to this pumped up fanfare include Japan’s atmos, Hong Kong’s JUICE, Australia’s Espionage and also Korea’s Kasina. For Korea’s premium retailer Kasina, the store decided to keep its Reebok Pump cool in a fiery red patent leather upper contrasted with black and right blue accents. The black front panel is an interesting reptilian patterened leather and features the label’s portrait logo embroidered in red on the side, playing off the blue “Reebok” and “the pump” logo. It is certainly an extraordinary time. Just moments ago in a live online broadcast, the Norwegian Nobel Committee announced the President of United States, Barack Obama, as the winner of the prestigious Nobel Peace Prize for 2009.  The foundation honored the President for “his extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples”. It also stated that “Only very rarely has a person to the same extent as Obama captured the world’s attention and given its people hope for a better future.”

Nike’s hybrid models are stirring up a lot of talk among fanatics, but there’s nothing like a good old retro to satisfy the sole. Kevin Garnett may be signed to Adidas, but let’s not forget that he was once apart of Nike, a contract which saw the creation of some classic sneakers. The Nike Air Garnett 3 has already made its way to shelves in a black colorway, but since he is no longer with Nike, they may be known as the Nike Air Max 3 now. More pics and facts after the jump.

Finishing off the design is the chrome Nike swoosh design at the heel of the shoe. Look for them to release at Footaction locations early in October and retail for $140.

The wait is finally over as there are some images of the 2010 Mercedes Benz SLS AMG have floated onto the internet. Obvious resemblance to the classic 300SL “Gulwing” is evident in styling but that is where the similarities end. Front/midship V8 6.3 litre engine makes use of most of the AMG technology that is connected to a seven speed dual clutch transmission punching out 563 hp at 480 lb-ft of torque.  More pics and news after the jump.

This is the first clear view of the SLS and the color choices available will be Alubeam Silver, Syvanite Grey, Alanite Grey and Red that is fitted with complimenting leather interior and ten spoke forged wheels. Production will start in 2010 with sales starting in the year after that.

Michael Wolk is the go-to designer for Donald Trump’s hotels in Sunny Isles, Florida and is renowned for his creation of furniture that is simultaneously as striking as it is functional.

“Chair Construction” is a one-of-a-kind sculpture that functions doubly as a chair and as art. The human hands holding up the chair are interjecting and assuming the role of support, creating an illusion that tells a narrative of parts that are missing. The red disc is part of the design and included with the chair.
