Estevan Oriol X Mister Cartoon – Snoop Dogg “Malice In Wonderland” Album Cover Artwork | Behind The Scenes Video
Photographer/Director Estevan Oriol and Mister Cartoon go way back. Not just partners on The Joker Brand clothing, the duo worked through SA Studios and successfully pushed their art into the market place, working with clients such as Nike, Toyota, Harley Davidson and Rockstar Games. This time around, Oriol and Mister Cartoon are back to create the album art for Snoop Dogg’s upcoming album, Malice In Wonderland, due to drop on Dec 8. It is interesting to see the completed work, but it is even more intriguing to see how the artists work and collaborate. Check out the behind the scenes video for making the album packaging and get psyched– not just about Snoop’s upcoming tracks, but also to appreciate the artwork that went into it.

Theses days Fat Joe comes up with his own sneaker called “The Recession”, teaming up with sneaker company Protégé for it. Also watch out for Fat Joe’s ninth album, J.O.S.E. 2 (Jealous Ones Still Envy), set to release on October 6th. The album includes tracks with Lil Kim, Lil Wayne, Akon and more.

Primitive x Oakley Frogskins ‘Ride the Lightning’

If you´re a fan of Metallica and of sunglasse, you´re really going to like this! Paul Rodriguez’s shop, Primitive in Encino has teamed up with Oakley to put out a limited edition pair of Frogskins. They were inspired by Metallica’s 1984 Ride the Lightning album cover, and feature a gradient colourway, fading from black to purple, to midnight blue, and eventually a clear finish. They come with a silk-screened bag, and two sets of arms, each branded with Primitive’s P logo. A matching tee was also designed for the release. The sunglasses are limited to 70, of which 50 will be made available tomorrow at 5pm in-store. The remaining 20 will go on sale through Primitive’s online shop the following day at noon PST. What´s Australia´s finest export? Yes, AC/DC! With their forthcoming Black Ice tour smashing stadium ticket records, they now have teamed up with Converse for a ball-breaking colab. Angus and Co. adorn a series of Chuck Taylor All Stars, a natural fit given the shoe’s royal rock heritage. The standout though is a suede Star Player 75 Scout brandished with Angus’ school-cap monogram in thick varsity wool and in a very well fitting green colorway. Converse… we salute you!
