G-SHOCK hatte ja bereits im Frühling 2011 angekündigt, dass es “bald” G-SHOCK Modelle mit Bluetooth Verbindung zum Smartphone geben werde. Die Uhren mit Bluetooth 4.0 kommen nun aber erst Mitte März (in Japan) auf den Markt. Grund für die Verschiebung soll die Flutkatastrophe in Thailand gewesen sein, die auch die Entwicklung anderer Technologien stark verlangsamte. Die Uhr bietet eine automatische Uhrensynrchonisation mit Eurem Smartphone und bietet Euch die Möglichkeit SMS zu checken und Anrufe entgegenzunehmen. Nur das kleine Display der Uhr mag diese Funktionen etwas einschränken. Eine Nachfrage bei G-SHOCK ergab, dass man die Markteinführung in Deutschland nocht nicht geplant habe. Dennoch ist davon auszugehen, dass die Bluetooth G-SHOCKS mit allen gängigen Telefonen funktionieren werden – egal wo sie auf den Markt kommen. Nettes Feature finden wir. Wer ein bisschen älter ist, kann sich bestimmt noch an die “Zurück in die Zukunft”-Reihe um den etwas exzentrischen Professor Emmett Brown und seinen jungen Freund Marty McFly erinnern. In Teil 2 der Zeitreise-Trilogie sieht man Marty mit einem Paar Nike Air Mag´s aus dem Jahr 2015 mit selbstschließenden Verschlüssen. Und ob ihr es glaubt oder nicht, aber Tinker Hatfield und seine Jungs von Nike haben tatsächlich ein Patent für diese Technik angemeldet. Auf der Homepage der World Intellectual Property Organization kann man sich den Antrag ansehen. Die Abbildungen daraus sowie weitere Bilder des geplanten Schuhs findet ihr nach dem Jump. Hoffen wir mal, dass wir nicht bis 2015 warten müssen, bis diese Sneaker auf den Markt kommen. Here´s another new spring release from Casio G-Shock: the GDF-100. The technical looking watch incorporates several pieces of engineering seen on previous staples such as the Riseman’s twin sensor. Other measuring tools include an altimeter, barometer and thermometer. A total of three colors will be available in March.

There will be two colorways, one in a classic black with a light-red face the other one in a matte black stealth look with black face.
