Adidas celebrates 60th anniversary with blinged out Diamond Pack
Setting up as milestone year for the company, Adidas is celebrating its 60th anniversary for being in the fashion world. Having already started an enormous campaign featuring iconic personalities from the world of fashion, music and sport, the brand with the three stripes unveils the “Diamond Pack” that includes the classic Superstar model and a T-shirt. The classic sneakers are blinged out with six 0.2K diamonds on the lateral side of each foot of the shoe. In addition, Swarvoski crystals are added on the lacelock and the tongue adding even more elegance and a luxurious feel to the timeless sneakers. The bejeweled metal piece placed on the tongue can be detached so that it can be used as a necklace. Apart from that, the T-shirt that comes bundled with the pack comes with 409 Swarovski crystals encrusted to craft a beautiful Adidas logo on the front of the shirt. Priced at $800, the Superstar sneaks will be released on January 31st, 2009 across Taiwan.

As one of adidas’ greatest and most iconic releases of all-time, the Superstar has seen itself at the center of many different sub-cultural movements. Still relevant as ever, we see a new capsule of colorways for the “Superstar 80s” which feature colorways true to the original releases of the once basketball court mainstay. In total, a number of white colorways are seen as well as the lone black/green color. Unlike usual releases, this particular collection are made in France much like previous 1980s manufactured Superstars, resulting in superior quality. A release date has been set for December 13th at atmos.

Scotty 76, B-Boy and graffiti legend ever since, keeps rolling. After releasing his auto-biographical DVD, “Scotty’s World”, together with Artistik World and Deluxe Records, he has a new project going on. This time Scotty teamed up with Adidas and Foot Locker. The well-known artist created four shoes for Adidas, they will be available all over Europe, exclusively at Foot Locker. Be sure to check out further projects of Artistik World.
