Converse once again worked together with Schott, creating a new “Leather Jacket” edition for the Chuck Taylor All Star. They´re giving this model the premium leather treatment using navy as the primary color for the soft leather upper. The upper construction is broken up into panels divided by diagonal seams and folded pleats. Leather is also wrapped around the midsole using a white stitched band of leather trim. Gold zipper accents are placed inside the eyelets while a functional zipper along the back heel gets you in and out of these sneakers in a flash. The Chuck All Star logo is embossed into the sides of the upper to complete the makeup of this classic basketball shoe. See detailed pics after the jump. Here´s another collaboration Jordan Brand made in commemoration of this year’s NBA All-Star Weekend. They joined forces with Casio to create a small collection of G-Shocks, including three limited edition watch models: an electric blue with subtle royal blue details DW6900CB-2, fire engine red paired with black and orange contrasts DW6900CB-4 and stealth black on black GD100B-1. Jordan Brand started a great new program called “WINGS for the Future”. It has the goal of motivation and inspiration of today’s youth using education, sport, and creativity. First partnering school will be Inglewood High School. As part of the WINGS program, Jordan Brand employees will conduct weekly workshops and participate in activities involving graphic designs, essay writing, and career planning while providing a complete refurbishment of the school basketball court and classrooms. To commemorate this honorable partnership, Jordan Brand has collaborated with well-known artist and sneakerhead Dave White of the UK, who is best recognized for his amazing canvas paintings of classic sneakers. This time around, he gets to work with the original Air Jordan shoe that is the foundation of Jordan Brand – the Air Jordan 1.
The Dave White x Air Jordan 1 Retro features White’s sublime graphic touch on the upper, using red brush strokes and copious floods of metallic gold in White’s personal style of layers and splatters. Premium canvas, call-out to White’s ‘canvas’ of choice’ can be found on the tongue tag, with a pristine lasered inner lining. Environmentally Preferred Mesh is also utilized on interior walls of the shoe. White furthers his reach beyond the shoe with a special Air Jordan ‘Wings’ logo on the box painted in his trademark motif as well. Just twenty-three pairs of the Dave White x Air Jordan 1 Retro exist, and will be auctioned off at auction.SoleCollector.com. The auction started on February 16th and will last for two more days. Like their forerunners The Simpsons and other licensed franchises, Family Guy teamed up with Kidrobot creating a new collection of vinyl toys. Several of the 3 inch figures are shown which has become one of TV’s funniest and most controversial mainstream cartoons over the last few years. Each blindbox toy comes with a collector card and retails for $10 USD.
Jeremy Scott is well known for his over the top and ground breaking styles in his sneaker and clothing collection for Adidas ObyO like the JS Wings sneaker. Now he´s entering new terrain together with Swiss brand Swatch. He´s doing a small collection of watches, so far including three styles which will consist of a wings inspired model, a lightning flash model, and an art frame model. For their Spring 2011 Footwear Collection, Converse is teaming up with Dickies – together with Chuck Taylor All Star shoes, they are possibly the standard issue uniform of great American style. So their combined collection is bringing us simple, clean versions of the Chuck Taylor All Star shoe featuring Dickies detailing. Converse is also unveiling the new Chuck Taylor All Star Classic Boot, a new upper inspired by the classic work boot, with moc toe detailing and a classic Chuck midsole and outsole. On all silhouettes the upper material is Dickies iconic twill and will be available in ox and high.
For the Chuck Taylor All Star Premium, the styles exude pure vintage Americana with a burnished leather upper, wax laces, washed canvas flag lining and split leather sockliner that gives it that perfect antique look. Converse is coming up with one of the most favorite skateboarding shoes these days, namely a signature shoe for Pro Skater Kenny Anderson, called the KA-One. The sneaker features some strong vintage treatment that mixes with the modern skate style. Two flavors in a grey and black suede makeup will be available for fall 2011. Here are some preview images of the upcoming collaboration between Fred Perry and Stüssy directly from the PREMIUM Berlin. This boot is called “Byron Cuff Boot” and comes in black and white colorways. They feature a canvas upper with some textile around the bootleg.
