adidas Def Jam Pack
Def Jam. The two words have become synonymous with culture, style and great music. Beginning in a dorm room, Russell Simmons and Rick Rubin wanted to make music, hip-hop music. Def meant cool; hip or stylish and Def Jam provided the soundtrack to accompany the lifestyle. And this was only the beginning. The reputation of Def Jam started with the signing of the inimitable LL Cool J and was cemented with the addition of acts like Run DMC, Method Man, Redman, The Roots and more recently, Young Jeezy and Ghostface. The collaboration between Def Jam and adidas is a celebration of two entities embedded in the biggest cultural phenomenon of our generation: Hip Hop. We already reported about Adidas who is celebrating with Def Jam’s 25th anniversary and the related sneakers that have been released for this event. Now, we are showing you another pair that has been introduced recently, the Adidas Young Jeezy’s Superstar II. If you have noticed the Mid Forum edition comes in black/green-gold colorway, this time around the superstar II features an opposite color scheme. The shoe is predominately made up of white leather upper and midsole. Other features you may also find interesting are the traditional Adidas stripes in pink accent, black thin lining above the midsole, gold heel tab with the Adidas logo and black and white inner lining. Both shoes share the same focal point which is the portrait of the Hip Hop artist printed on the tongue. See another pic after the jump.

Yesterday we already gave an account of the Forum Mid X Def Jam (Young Jeezy). Now it looks like adidas is also set to release the Young Jeezy x Stan Smith as part of their Def Jam 25th Anniversary Artist Series. The Young Jeezy Stan Smith features a snowy White nubuck upper with Metallic Silver accents. The tongue on the Young Jeezy Stan Smith features an illustration of Young Jeezy, his logo is emblazoned at the outer heel, and the heel tab reads “SNOWMAN”, Jeezy’s nickname. The Young Jeezy x adidas Stan Smith is set to release early Fall. Follow the jump for more pics.

Yes there is another celebration to be held this year! As part of the celebration of Def Jam’s 25th anniversary, Adidas is paying tribute to Young Jeezy “The Snowman”, one of the Hip Hop’s finest. The shoe comes in a stark black uppers with lime-green accents on the traditional three stripes, shoe lace, inner lining and overlay portion. The Adidas logo tag which also features Young Jeezy’s portrait and signature are printed in green and gold and gold accents. The midsole possesses a white color while the outsole is in black and green shades. Do not miss to see another photo of the Hip Hop artist in black and white inside the shoe.
