Vans – “Van Doren” Kollektion [Preview]
Vans bringt als Teil der Herbst/Winter Kollektion 2012 die “Van Doren” – Kollektion. Benannt nach dem Gründer der Marke und ihrem ehemaligen Namen “Van Doren Rubber Company.” Die ersten Bilder von der Agenda Trade Show, welche gerade in Long Beach, Kalifornien, stattfindet bzw. stattfand, könnt ihr hier sehen. Die Kollektion beinhaltet zwei Sk8-Hi Modelle, drei Era Modelle und ebenso drei Slip-Ons. Das Obermaterial ist mit freshen Vintage Prints versehen und erinnert ein wenig an die 60′er und 70′er Jahre. Vans und Supreme präsentieren die zweite Zusammenarbeit dieser Saison. Der Era kommt in drei Farbstellungen mit Animal-Print auf einer Canvas Oberfläche und Leder an der Ferse. Der Chukka kommt mit einem Obermaterial aus Leinen, Leder-Futter und Leder Ferse, ebenfalls in mehreren verschieden Farben. Die beiden Sneaker werden am 26. Mai online und in den Läden released. Vans drops a new range of designs as the Spring 2011 season officially kicks off. Featured within the California Collection are new colorways of the Chukka Del Barco CA, Era CA and Zapato Slip CA. All feature easygoing, laid back colorways with a mix of premium textiles. Look for these now through select Vans California accounts, including Proper in Long Beach, California. Once again Vans returns for Spring 2010 with a pack in collaboration with Tony Alva. The Alva Legends Pack presents a tweaked version of his original signature shoe, dubbed the Mid Skool 77 Pro, along with an Era Pro. Alva again taps into the theme of sustainability. Eco-friendly materials and construction include water-based adhesives and recycled gum rubber. The upper features premium suede, while the laces and linings are made from recycled PET, the material used in plastic bottles. The color palette is a sophisticated blend of utility base colors with subtle pop color detailing. This package brings elite style from a timeless skateboarder. More pics follow after the jump.

California’s favorite skate brand, Vans, recently partnered up with independent artist Parra to produce a limited version of the Era. The vulcanized lowtop draws inspiration from a number of sources, and features Parra’s cursive logo stitched into the tongue to go along with its white/orange/pink/robin’s egg blue color scheme. The term, “Don’t Forget to Skate in These!” is printed onto the model’s sockliner, a byword I wouldn’t mind being attached to all collaborative skate shoes. The Parra x Vans Era will hit retailers early this summer, so stay on the lookout.
