Hiroki Otsuka’s Show—Mangdala

If you´re in NYC or will be there until November 5th you should consider visiting Hiroki Otsuka´s Show “Mangdala”. Hiroki’s show will combine two art forms, manga and mandala. Manga, a popular japanese art form brings out in bright color our subconscious, secret desires. Mandala is a another ancient form with roots in hindu that evoke esoteric and spiritual meditation. The combination of the two can not be in better hands than that of artist hiroki otsuka. The show takes place at the Fridman Law Group and is up until November 5th.

Asics Gel Lyte III x Slam Jam

Here´s a closer look on the collaboration between SlamJam and Asics, resulting in the new, limited Asics Gel Lyte III. They were first presented during the Family & Friends Exhibition in Berlin. Today we can show you some detailed pics after the jump and a video with SlamJam’s Matteo Teruzzi, who is giving some background information on the project.

Stüssy x Haze Exhibition @ Known Gallery

Legendary artist and brand Eric Haze and Stussy just recently had an exhibit at the newly opened Known Gallery. Commemorating the US release of the Haze x Stussy capsule collection, the exhibit includes all the original artwork that inspired the collection, video installations, 16″ painted mural, and his custom Pro Keds. Mos Def – Ecstatic Moments Exhibition and T-Shirt

While Mos Def recorded his 2009 album, The Ecstatic, photographer, filmmaker, and visionist Cognito followed Mos while capturing various candid photographs of the artist that will now be on display for a week in Los Angeles as a part of the Ecstatic Moments Exhibition. The exhibition will include images from Mos Def’s visit to the Cape of Great Hope, South Africa and performing in Sao Paulo, Brazil as well as “end-of-the-night posse shots” featuring Jay Electonica, Talib Kweli, Erykah Badu, and Shuggie Otis. In addition to the exhibition, a limited edition tee was created in collaboration with Los Angeles boutique, UNION. The t-shirt is available now at UNION as well at their online store. G-SHOCK – RESISTING TIME EXHIBITION – presented by VICE in Hamburg and Berlin

CASIO G-SHOCK invited ten international artists to create their very own masterpieces about the issue “RESISTING TIME”. The two important characteristics of the famous G-SHOCK watches,   „TIMEKEEPING“ and „SHOCK RESISTANCE“,  should be combined in the drawings. There are originated ten extraordinary interpretations which are now shown at the “Resisting Time Exhibition” on its tour through germany. Don’t miss it!
