Nike Trainer 1 – White/Club Purple/Metallic Silver/Varsity Maize

With the Los Angeles Lakers winning the last 2 NBA Championships, it´s time for another sneaker with a Lakers colorway. Well the latest sneaker to take on the Lakers colors is the Nike Trainer 1. It comes in a White/Club Purple/Metallic Silver/Varsity Maize colorway and features a pretty simple look. Most of the sneaker is covered with white, including the toe, shoe laces, inner lining, tongue, heel, midsole and the outsole. Black is seen on the heel Nike branding. The Lakers accents appear on the purple Nike swoosh and heel branding and yellow swoosh border and bottom lace holder. Black is seen on minor areas such as part of the outsole. Bearbrick x Converse Weapon Pack

MediCom Toy Inc. is lending a hand with this Converse Pack that features three variations of the classic Converse Weapon; the Vintage Weapon ‘86 Basic Hi, Weapon SF Hi, and Weapon Mid are featured in this special collection that includes the popular Bearbrick figurines. Each pair will come accompanied by a Bearbrick toy with a matching colorway. The Vintage comes in Magic Johnson’s Lakers colorway with a pre-yellowed midsole, while the SF features a contemporary 3D star upper. Nike Zoom Kobe V – “Big Stage”

For the 2010 mid-season NBA classic, Nike prepared a special edition Nike Zoom Kobe V for the All-Star to wear. Now it’s only fitting that Nike do the same following the conclusion of a great NBA regular season and just before the NBA Finals kicks off. Pictured here, this Nike Zoom Kobe V comes in a white/gold colorway with a bunch of lasered detailing paying homage to a number of Kobe’s accomplishments during the 2010 NBA regular season. Among those numbers are his 391 rebounds, 365 assists, 113 steals, the 25,207th point he broke the all-time Lakers scoring record with, and the 25,970 points he ended up with at the end of the regular season. Aston Martin x Kobe Bryant x Nike Hyperdunk

2008, when Nike released the Hyperdunk they started working together with LA Lakers Superstar Kobe Bryant to promote their new kicks. They produced several videos with Kobe jumping to incredible heights which Nike wanted us to believe was only possible when wearing a pair of the ultra light Hyperdunks. Kobe was seen jumping over an assortment of things, one of them being a moving Aston Martin.

Now Aston Martin isn´t any longer only featured with a car in a video but got its´ own sneaker toghether with Kobe. The shoes feature a chrome like Metallic Silver finish on the toe, ankle panel, lace panels and heel cap, with a Gunmetal color on the Flywire upper and Silver again on the mid-sole. The inner lining is fabricated from smooth Red leather to resemble the exotic leather interior on an Aston Martin and fixed to the tongue is a round piece of carbon fiber with Kobe’s name, the Aston Martin logo and the Nike Swoosh all printed on it in a stacked formation. Kobe’s signature is also included on the backside of the tongue on a Red leather tag.

These kicks will be limited to 500 pairs and are expected to drop sometime during Spring.

Kobe Bryant Interview at the House of Hoops in Harlem

First of all, we send out a big thanks to the guys from kicks on fire for this amazing interview and nice pics. Fresh off of his victory at the Garden (115-105), Kobe Bryant made a very special appearance at the House of Hoops, showcasing his latest shoe – the Nike Zoom Kobe 5. He arrived at approximately 11:00pm through the back exit of the store surrounded several security guards. The crowd went crazy as soon as Kobe walked in. Strangely enough, the person interviewing him was no other than Nick Cannon. Kobe was asked several questions about the Nike Zoom Kobe 5 and its inspiration and technical specifications. Check out the video below. About the shoe: The Nike Zoom Kobe 5 weighs about 10.6 ounces and is currently Nike’s lightest basketball shoe ever. The Nike Zoom Kobe 5  is a true low cut design for Kobe’s snake-on-the-hardwood speed and razor sharp ability. It’s basically lightweight, sharpened. Kobe & Co. Get Their $30,000 Rings

The 2009 NBA Champs Los Angeles Lakers received their championship rings the other day, and they are $30,000 worth of diamonds and gold and goodness. They were made by Jason of Beverly Hills, and it was the 15th time LA has won. Kobe, DFish and owner Jerry Buss all gave their input into the amazing rings and requested 14 diamonds, and the center trophy which would be number 15.  Every member of the team , trainers and coaches all received a ring.
