Marvel Comics x Stüssy Series One T-Shirts

Stüssy bietet einen besseren Blick auf die erste Reihe der neuen Zusammenarbeit mit dem legendären Marvel-Comics. Series One umfasst neun Entwürfe, darunter einige der kultigsten Superhelden von Marvel mit coolen Grafiken im Stüssy Style vermischt. Series Two wird am 6. Mai erscheinen und aus arbeiten von neun Gastkünstler bestehen, die ihre Lieblings-Charaktere aus dem Marvel-Universum interpretieren haben. Jedem Einkauf wird eine limitierte Auflage Packung Stüssy x Marvel Trading Cards beiliegen aber wie immer nur solange der Vorrat reicht. Nike Dunk Low “Incredible Hulk” Customs

Back in June 2009 Nike brought to us the Nike Dunk “Planet Of The Apes” designed by sneaker customizer Chrisco. Little did we know at the time but those were just the kicker to what is known as the Marvel Mash-Up, a collection of custom sneakers inspired by a variety of Marvel Comics. After debuting the first pair we are now pleased to present you Vol. 2 of the Marvel Mash-Up by Chrisco.

For volume 2 Chrisco went with a Nike Dunk Low carrying a theme inspired by none other then Dr. Bruce Banner, also known as the Incredible Hulk. As the story goes Bruce Banner was accidentally exposed to a test detonation of a gamma bomb he invented which has caused him at times, usually when he gets mad, to involuntarily transform into the green, raging giant known as the Hulk. For his Hulk inspired Dunks Chrisco started off with a pair of White on White Low’s and painted the tongue, toe box, mid-panel and ankle panel all Green to match the Hulk’s body color. Purple denim with rugged edges was then fastened around the frontal, heel, and on the lace panels to present the Hulk’s ripped purple pants from the Marvel Comic series. Black felt was then stitched up on the Nike Swoosh and on the heel tab which includes “HULK” in Green embroidery, and a Marvel Comics logo was then worked onto a pair of tongue tags for the sneakers. The upper itself is no doubt a well executed design but what really helps wraps up these customs for me is the sole swap Chrisco did taking the sole unit from a pair of Earthquake Nike Dunks and incorporating it onto the Dunk Low to bring forth the cracked rock/cement pattern that the Incredible Hulk is usually associated with.

Barack Obama x The Amazing Spider-Man – Line-Up

It is phenomenal to witness how “Obama Fever” is swiping across the U.S.  As reported previously, the Marvel Comics’ special Barack Obama meets The Amazing Spider-Man issue was launched early yesterday morning at comic shops nation wide.  And according to The New York Times, hundreds of die-hard comic fans and newbies braved the bone chilling sub-zero temperature to lined up for the special edition. Though Marvel rushed a second printing to meet the overwhelming demand. The comic still sold out at most comic stores. If you missed the opportunity to purchase you very own issue, you might get a second chance on eBay as a brief check turns out with over 1,000 offer listings currently.
