New Balance has gotten together with Tamiya, makes of the RC Toy Car we enjoyed in the past as kids. Despite being a very unusual collaboration, both brands made it work. New Balance CM996M BT | Beige/Pink and Black/Pink

One of New Balances latest releases, the CM996M BT, pops because of its subtle features. Speaking generally the sneaker comes in two colorways beeing Beige/Brown/Pink and Black/Blue/Pink. Both colorways of the CM996M BT include details like the two color midsole and laces, cross stitching at the toebox, wooden pearls at the bottom of the lace section as well as the multicolored stitchings at the N logo. Also the sneaker has the native american theme feel that we have seen already on other sneaker releases recently. The theme is captured not only by the colors chosen but with the pattern on the tongue tag as well as on the back. Last but not least the material mix is worth the mention. For the upper New Balance used durable synthetics at the toebox, suede for the logo, nubuck, leather around the laces and full grain leather as well as canvas at the back. The New Balance CM996M BT is now available in the two colorways at select New Balance retailers like Atmos. Follow the jump for more pics!

FRAT x Mita Sneakers | New Balance MT576S Bamboo Rake

Mita Sneakers does not stop to work on interesting collaborative projects with New Balance. This time they got together with FRAT to produce the New Balance MT576S Bamboo Rake. The sneaker comes with a complete glow-in-the-dark leather upper, large embroidery on the tongue, as well as on the heel. The grey sole comes sprinkled, and all white parts on the sneaker come in patent leather.

The FRAT x Mita Sneakers New Balance MT576S Bamboo Rake will be released on 4th of April.

New Balance 996 – Pantone Pack

The New Balance 996 Pantone Pack draws inspiration from what is probably the world’s foremost authority in colour matching.  This pack features two unique yet similar takes on the 996: one in white, another in tonal red/pink.  The white pair features a virtual kaleidoscope of accent colours, while the red pair reminds us of the Pantone logo.  Both feature a six-block rectangular colour swatch on the heel, and the same shades are applied in reverse to the tongue tag. You can cop these now at atmos, and stateside soon at select New Balance Lifestyle retailers.

New Balance MTG580 Gore-Tex Gradient Preview

Coming on the heels of the recently released New Balance MTG580 Gore-Tex, New Balance are wasting no time continuing their Gore-Tex efforts. Two versions of a gradient style MT580 are seen here. While the colorways we’ve seen as part of the Gore-Tex offerings teeter on the bright side, we’re still waiting for a straight-up black pair. Stay tuned for details on availability.

Shoes-Up x New Balance Creative Contest

For the first time in its storied history, New Balance is loosening up the creative reigns and letting YOU create a design which could potentially see the light of day at sneaker spots around the world. Based on two solid offerings, the iconic 576 and 1700 are both provided as template of choice for you to work your creative magic.
