Primitive x Oakley Frogskins ‘Ride the Lightning’

If you´re a fan of and of sunglasse, you´re really going to like this! Paul Rodriguez’s shop, Primitive in Encino has teamed up with Oakley to put out a limited edition pair of Frogskins. They were inspired by ’s 1984 Ride the Lightning album cover, and feature a gradient colourway, fading from black to purple, to midnight blue, and eventually a clear finish. They come with a silk-screened bag, and two sets of arms, each branded with ’s P logo. A matching tee was also designed for the release. The are limited to 70, of which 50 will be made available tomorrow at 5pm in-store. The remaining 20 will go on sale through ’s online shop the following day at noon PST. Primitive x Oakley Frogskin Sunglasses

Finding inspiration within a well known 80s heavy metal album cover, Encino-based work up a new collaboration alongside , utilizing the eyewear brands classic model. The feature a gradient colorway, fading from black to purple, midnight blue, and eventually a clear finish. Along with special “P” logos on the detachable arms, the shades will come fully equipped with an additional set of arms and a custom silk screened bag, further emphasizing the theme which was conceived by Jubal Jones and the rest of the team. Look for these to drop in the coming Summer months, exclusively through Primitive.

Oakley X Paul Smith – Limited Edition Frogskin Sunglasses

British fashion house, Paul Smith, has joined forces with premium sports and lifestyle label, Oakley, to refashion a classic 1986 . These retro-shaped get a vibrant styled color upgrade with pink and psychedelic pink and purple prints. The lenses are tinted in a fun mirrored peach and indigo color. The 80s skate and surf culture comes back this season in the form of durable, lightweight rubberise- finished shades. These glasses come in four colorways with signature logo on the side panel. They are limited to 500 pairs and are only available at Paul Smith boutiques.

Another fresh customization service! lets you design your own and even goggles! You can easily choose your model and start off with the frame color. In the next step you will pick out your favourite color of the lens and the icon/strap . And here comes the best: you can even enter your own text for etching. Oakley Frogskin Artist Series Andrew Petterson

In a special 50-piece project done with , artist Andrew Petterson has hand-painted fifty separate frames. With the iconic becoming the base of each design, we see a link between ’s past and the contemporary art styles of Andrew Petterson.
