Parra for Nike Air Max 1
Many people have been waiting for the news on these special Air Max 1’s. Initially though to be part of the celebration of Patta’s 5th anniversary last year, since they released 4 different colorways of the Air Max 1 to commemorate the occasion. What we thought was going to be the final release of the 5th pair we now find out is a actually a Parra shoe. We saw sneak peeks of the shoe in videos and at the Magic tradeshow in Las Vegas but now we know they will be released. It looks like it will be hard to get our hands on these as they will be limited to Patta. Designed by Parra the upper of the shoe is made up of a mix of suede and mesh with a chenille swoosh. The Parra logo is put onto the tongue in Blue along with the laces and upper eyelets. The shoeliner will contain special graphics from Parra. The shoe is finished off with a special multi-colored outsole. Going to be sole at Patta on March 13th this limited shoes will make it to very select Nike Sportswear accounts as well. Better call in your favors as this shoe will be hard to grab. If you know a sneakerstore who will be public the sneaker, please post at comment. An actualization from Amsterdam-base artsit Parra’s imaginative sporting world, where the most essential goal is not to win, but to participate. The Lonely Losers Air Maxim 1 from the artist and Nike Sportswear is an extension of a collaborative effort, which include Stadium Jacket, Destroyer Jacket, scores of t-shirts, for both men and women. The simple matte black fare of suede with minute colored stitched and eyelets. Speckles of red and light blue dotted all-over on the mid-sole, while enlarged segment of the Lonely Losers design dominated the inner sockliners. Follow the jump for more info’s and some other pics.

Converse is hosting together with Lodown Magazine a BBQ event in Berlin tomorrow night. For the occasion they produced a Parra designed Chuck Taylor Hi, in line with the “Simply the Wurst” theme of the event. The Chuck Taylor Hi is limited to only 100 pairs and will be given out to friends and family.

California’s favorite skate brand, Vans, recently partnered up with independent artist Parra to produce a limited version of the Era. The vulcanized lowtop draws inspiration from a number of sources, and features Parra’s cursive logo stitched into the tongue to go along with its white/orange/pink/robin’s egg blue color scheme. The term, “Don’t Forget to Skate in These!” is printed onto the model’s sockliner, a byword I wouldn’t mind being attached to all collaborative skate shoes. The Parra x Vans Era will hit retailers early this summer, so stay on the lookout.

The most exceptional thing about these headphones is the construction. Made of birch, they are molded just like a skateboard. The wood is thin, the transfer of sound, presumably, is thick. What’s for sure is that the end product is light on the cranium.
