Proper x Vans 2008 Holiday Collection

The masterminds behind last year’s memorable satin SK8-HI pack with Vans, Long Beach’s Proper have cooked up another stellar pack of Vans offerings for the holiday season. In an interview with leading sneaker magazine Sneaker Freaker, Proper’s owner Tristan Caruso shares some insight into the conceptual aspect of this nautical inspired pack which features the Native American (One-piece), Authentic Low and Chukka Del Barco LX, each available in two colorways. For this particular release, Proper has taken extra steps to create a special product including various little details working its way into the pack’s design such as thicker insoles and retro-style boxes. Caruso also weighs in on his thoughts regarding the current sneaker landscape with some interesting points of view in his discussion. Check the interview out over at SneakerFreaker.com.

Vans Syndicate x Jason Jesse

Vans Syndicate has worked with Jason Jesse before, and now they are bringing him back to do some more work. This time around, Jason Jesse is working on another Sk8 Hi. The shoe features an all leather upper, with a tan piping around the midsole. The Sk8 Hi also has a cut off back on the heel.

Vans x Active x Taka Hayashi

Japanese artist Taka Hayashi did not only work on his own collaborative pack with Vans, but this time got together with Vans and Active for their “Drop Sneakers Not Bombs” initiative. Releasing in November is a pack of two sneakers designed by the artist. Once again lots of customization has been added to the sneaker, without playing too much with color, rather with patterns and materials.

Vans Halloween Pack

In time for Halloween many brands are getting ready with special releases. Vans was caught by this virus too now presenting their Halloween Pack. It consists of a Sk8 Hi and another high top model. Both come in black/orange colorways ad feature a Halloween pumpkin logo.
