Kanye West is well known for collaborating with big brands like Nike to create his stylish designs. Now here’s a look on a couple of new kicks, he did with Louis Vuitton. The Louis Vuitton Tower is a quite stylish sneaker in a high and low cut version, with suede piping marking off sections of leather, some of which feature a dope tonal checkerboard pattern. The hightop LV Tower features a forefoot strap that’s absent on the lows, so click the jump below to see more photos of both pairs.
There´s an interesting concept coming around from Puma. They´re combining sports with fashion as their slim-cut racing and running low tops are geared to classic high-end luxury footwear and sneakers from Gucci or Louis Vuitton.

As usual Spring/Summer 2009 brings quite a few different looks from Louis Vuitton, as far as accessories go. One of the prestigious labels standout items is their new Reporter Bag which comes in two subtle colorways. The sleek, minimally design silhouette features Louis Vuitton’s top grade French construction alongside premium material usage.
From the looks of it, Louis Vuitton will be commissioning a selection of graffiti artists in tribute of their Stephen Sprouse campaign. News broke out of Reyes (Seventh Letter Crew) involvement with the San Francisco store yesterday and now we get a look at some work done by old school writer Skam on LV’s Toronto retail location. Stay tuned for further news in the coming weeks.
Of course a womens sneaker is also part of the six shoe Kanye West for Louis Vuitton collaboration. In the mean time we already presented to you two mens low top sneakers and one high top sneaker from the collaboration.
Here now a first look at the womens sneaker. It comes in a grey suede colorway, with pink sole and gold lace lock. The Louis Vuitton logo appears on the tongue and on the side-panel of the shoes.
Finally, we see an official picture of one of the sneakers from the Kanye West and Louis Vuitton collaboration. The sneaker comes in all red with a simple form, but it features a special quilted flap on the back heel for your jeans. Check out the press release below:
PARIS — Marc Jacobs and the Louis Vuitton men’s studio director Paul Helbers have some design competition this season. Kanye West, who was sitting front row at the Vuitton show, has designed a line of five LV sneakers. Only one design, above, was featured in the show — a monochromatic midtop with no frills, save for a quilted flap in the back, all the easier to tuck pants into. “The inspiration came from a jacket with a huge collar in the movie ‘Dune,’ ” West says. “Most sneakers focus on the tongue, so I wanted to do something different.” West knows whereof he speaks: he says he has no idea how many shoes he owns, but he does know that he routinely needs to send shipments off to storage. The LV-meets-Kanye kicks will be available at Louis Vuitton stores in June.
For those looking somewhere to spend their hard-earned paychecks, the Stephen Sprouse inspired Louis Vuitton collection is seeing its way into retailer accounts. Items released include various small accessories in vibrant colors including a gym set complete with head band and towel. Seeing as the collection is set for a February drop, this would be the time to get early dibs on particular items at eLUXURY.
